Location: Considering that Gare du Nord is not the nicest neighbourhood of Paris, this is a good spot in that area. Two minutes walk from the station, all restaurants including Terminus around the corner. So it actualliy is a very practical location if you come for a short business meeting, or if you want to stay close to the station, because of all the strikes that paralyze the city so often. Safety: 24/24 reception. The front door closes in the late evening and night, you just ring the bell, which is much better than everybody walking in and out. Rooms: clean, comfortable for the price/class, and not noisy, in spite of the location. Staff: very friendly and very helpful. Storage of luggage in case of early arrival or late departure is provided. Bathroom: a bit more spacious than many other IBIS hotels. Breakfast: buffet style in a small breakfast area, but everything is there, everything is replenished often, egg boiler to boil your eggs the way you want, choice of yoghurt, bread, cheese, some cold cuts, cereals, fruit, you can press your fresh orange juice, coffee, tea, water dispenser and friendly service. Much better than the café on the corner... Overall, good value for the price!

We use Ibis hotels regularly, because we know what to expect. This is the first time we stayed at the Ibis TGV, the reason being that it is just in front of the Gare du Nord. The rooms are always small in Paris, this one was quite small, but then again, it had everything we needed in terms of equipment. The hotel is newly refurbished, so it's clean, everything works well, plenty of plugs; thy changed our towels and cups every day, even though we did not ask for that specifically. The staff is excellent, very polite, friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel is on a main road, and there is plenty of traffic, the windows are double glazed and you cannot hear much of the hustle and bustle going down on the street - I am light sleeper, and always carry ear plugs with me, but I found the level of noise quite bearable. The price is higher here because of the location, but, of course, I find this absolutely normal. The hotel is very close to amazing pastry shops and restaurants, but also offers their own breakfast if you wish - plenty to choose from. Overall, great stay, just as I expected, would go back there.

Area very busy but very convenient for the Gare du Nord. My newly decorated room was compact but had everything you would want for an overnight/short stay (lovely bathroom). The room was at the back of the building and overlooked the rear of other buildings- not surprising in such a built up area, so not a problem for me. The breakfast room was modern, clean and welcoming. There was a wide selection of appetising food. Above all, the staff were wonderful. On the morning of my departure II had a really bad and prolonged nose bleed. Everyone: receptionists, lady in charge of breakfast room and other guests, were all great and , after unsuccessfully trying to stop the bleeding, called an ambulance for me and even changed my Eurostar ticket. I can”t praise them enough.

Great location to Gare de Nord ( especially if using the Eurostar) & the Metro. The room was smallish but the room we had with a balcony was wonderful!! This is not one of Paris’s best neighbourhoods but it is excellent for cafes, restaurants, supermarket, & the convenience of public transport to a lot of favourite tourist destinations. And to top it off the staff were a delight; welcoming, friendly; one staff member walked us into the Metro on our first morning to make sure we were going the right direction; how’s that for great service. And we loved the breakfasts with smiling helpful staff, nothing was a trouble. Highly recommendedrecommended

The size of the room was astounding for Paris- massive and comfortable. Massive bathroom and really very good and hot powerful shower. The beds were extremely comfortable, even the pull out one for the children. The whole place was very clean. It was a perfect stay. Staff were really great, helpful without being overbearing. I think this is the best place I have ever stayed in Paris. So close to the Eurostar, just 1 min walk. Supermarkets everywhere and metro easy and close. I will stay here again.
